True Wissmiller style we decided we were getting home tonight come hell or high water - or snow storms. We were up and on the road and arrived home at 11pm. Of course it started to snow as we were leaving but it didn't amount to much and we drove out of it pretty quickly. We didn't even make it an hour before Hannah spotted a Casey's and had to stop for breakfast. The temperature was getting warmer and warmer. Hannah drove the entire trip except for three hours in Nebraska/Iowa that Ann drove. Ann read random trivia and site seeing activities along I-80 now that they could get some spotty internet and didn't need to frantically look for routes or campgrounds. They actually may have seen a couple of the structures including the world's largest covered wagon. Once in Iowa, Ann listed all of the rivers in Iowa so we shouted out rivers every time we passed one. The highlights were the Missouri, Mississippi, and North and South Raccoon Rivers. We listened to Louis L'Amour Ride the River for the last five hours and drank root beer floats that Ann had concocted at gas station in Davenport, Iowa. We paid 3.10 for gas in Davenport and it jumped to 3.46 over the border in Illinois. We got home thirty minutes before the book was done and were tempted to stay up and finish it.

It was raining so Scott, Grandpa, and Nana met us in the shop so we could back Blue in. Sadie was there with lots of kisses and Ann gave her the present they had bought.

We had been in Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, back to Montana, back to Wyoming, back to Montana, then back to Idaho, and then through Wyoming, through Nebraska, through Iowa and almost all the way across Illinois.

Rough estimate: 34 Hours | 2,185 miles | 4.5 Days | 7 states
