Friday night Hannah invites Ann to fly to Washington and road trip back home with her with a pit stop to Yellowstone National Park and Jackson, Wyoming. Ann hops on plane from O’Hare to Seattle Sunday morning. It was a good start to a spur of a moment trip. She was going to ride back with Hannah from Spokane, Washington.

While Hannah was driving from Pomeroy, Washington to Spokane Ann was flying to Seattle. Ann made it passed security with her carry on but got searched bc she had vacuum sealed her clothes so she could fit her winter coat. It turns out the packs were too compressed which showed up as an alert on X-Ray. Her knee went out once after she had put her shoes back on. Ann got an upgrade to Comfort + and met Sam a friendly bloke who owned a restaurant in Spokane and Seattle. They had the same connecting flight which was luckily just around the corner since their plane was 30 minutes late and there had only been a 49 minute layover to begin with. Ann boarded and the flight took off 20 minutes later on time. It was a bumpy ride and pretty cloudy. She waited at the airport while Hannah got her oil changed. Hannah picked Ann up and we went to grocery store (quickest run ever) and headed back for Blue (the camper) at the oil place.

By 1:15pm, we were on the road not prepared for what we would face. The first challenge was to get Ann to pronounce Coeur d’Alene correctly. There were some beautiful fall foliage especially the Aspen trees, fun hills, smooth sailing, and great catching up. There was one incident when we thought we blew a tire but it turned out that the BBQ chip bag exploded open.

We decided to stop at Cardwell’s Country Store & Campground in Cardwell, Montana for the night. It was dark by the time we got there and we missed the turn for the campground and had to do a u-turn. We couldn’t see the signs and went in the wrong way and then Hannah got yelled at for speeding through the campground that supposedly had kids but we didn’t see anyone else until later when a lady and baby passed through. We unhooked and crashed after organizing a little of the camper.
