Sunday, September 11, 2022. Hi my name is Sadie Sassafras and I hijacked my Auntie Ann’s blog. I mean it’s only fair because she and my uncle Scott and my mama hijacked me. They told me that we were gonna go for a ride in the truck and they know that’s one of my favorite things to do but the weird thing was the truck was pulling the camper this time I’ve never ridden in the truck when I was pulling the camper. By the time I figured out we weren’t going to any of my favorites like Lowes or Farm and Fleet, Auntie Ann said it was too late to turn around. Mama said we had to be in the car for four hours but Uncle Scott let us stop at Bass Pro Shop In Portage, Indiana. It was awesome!!! Everybody thought I was so beautiful and wanted to pet me! There were so many people I didn’t know which way to go and who to talk to until they took me out by the boats were there was nobody it was really boring. Uncle Scott was still shopping so mama took me for a walk way up to the hill where we posed by a sign for Auntie Ann.
It rained off and on the whole trip and Auntie Ann said that’s a tradition. I slept a lot.
When we finally got there and mama took me out into the sand it was so icky to walk in I have never seen so much sand I thought Farm had sand but it’s nothing like this! My feet with sink and I got stuck between my toes I have to keep pulling mama back to the blacktop and there was no way I was going to piddle on it like she wanted me to!! We walk to our campsite number 132 and while Auntie Ann and Uncle Scott were setting up the camper it started to downpour mom and I stayed dry under the tree but they were really wet.
Once we were able to get in the camper I knew I had to get out of the way so onto the couch I went! I figured they needed to know that that would be my couch for the trip and that I needed to establish residency as soon as possible. I quickly went to sleep so that I would be able to stay up all night and do my job after all I am a nocturnal guardian dog.
