Kayaked around Sunset with Mom. She only wanted to do some of Paradise Island but I convinced her that I could tow her. Little did I know that it was really rough past Paradise. It was a rough paddle. Mom said she was helping every 15 strokes. Once we got around the calm side of Sunset we stopped for a break. I ate a nectarine and we enjoyed the beauty around us. The sky was an incredible blue. When we got back Dad and Scott had started cleaning the beach so we worked on that for a couple hours and took our baths. Then we were back to the Lodge for Busters leftovers. The meat was even better the second time around. After a couple hours we headed down for the beach were Dad had started a campfire. Most of the kids didn’t show up but most everyone enjoyed smores. We saw a beaver, a turtle, and some ducks with babies. Brent was trying to get a leech and caught a bluish colored crawdad. Been praying for Hannah and the people affected by the fire in Spring Creek, Colorado.
